Wow! This takes me back to those exciting days. Working for Tom West, I designed the instruction set and managed the Microkids that wrote the microcode in the Eagle (MV/8000). Before that, I wrote the microcode in the Eclipse line. I had followed Ed de Castro, Henry Burqhardt, and Leo Gossel from Digital Equipment Corporation in 1969, after building a board test system for the PDP-11. Thank you for keeping this history alive.

And thank you Carl for sharing. Please feel free to share any stories that I am sure that you have from your days with DG and the development work with the Eagle. (I apologize for keeping my blog closed which is due to the enormous amount of spam it would otherwise be swamped with.)
