Since I don’t have 3-phase power where I currently store my MV/8000, I haven’t done anything with the system so far. Today I decided to open the CPU cabinet to see what options were installed and take pictures of the internals. The maximum primary memory (or RAM) that could be installed in Data General’s first 32-bit super-minicomputer was 2Mbyte on a total of 8 boards, each with 256kByte. My MV/8000 has the maximum of 2Mbytes which is good news.
